VoIP Questions
Will call quality be as good as our current system?
On a properly configured network with adequate internet bandwidth, VoIP call quality equals or exceeds traditional phone systems. The key is QoS (Quality of Service) configuration on your network to prioritize voice traffic. We handle this as part of every VoIP deployment.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. Number porting transfers your existing numbers to the new system. The process typically takes 5–15 business days. During the port, your old system remains active so no calls are missed.
What happens to our phones if the internet goes down?
We configure failover routing to forward calls to mobile numbers if your internet connection goes down. For businesses where phone uptime is critical, we also recommend a secondary internet connection as part of your network design.
Do we need to buy new physical phones?
Not necessarily. Many VoIP systems work entirely through desktop and mobile apps — no physical phone hardware required. If you prefer physical desk phones, we can provision IP phones that work with your system. We’ll recommend the right approach based on your team’s workflow.
